Creative Arts Expression
KING’S CREATIVE SHOWCASE
The King’s Creative Showcase is a week of creative and artistic expression in various forms. Learners can compete in drama, vocals, instrumental, art, photography, flower arranging, slam poetry, creative writing, cake and cupcake decorating and many more. The week culminates in a Showcase Evening that includes performances by selected top acts and an exhibition of all other top performers’ creative pieces.
PRODUCTION TEAM
No big event or stage production is complete without the magic of the behind-the-scenes production (lights, sound, AV) team. Learners on the production team receive continuous development and training on world-class equipment and assist in all school events, assemblies and productions.
CHOIRS
King’s boasts three choirs: Foundation Phase (Grade 1-3); Intermediate Phase (Grade 4-7) and our College choir. The choirs create a love for music and explore healthy vocal techniques while having loads of fun!
PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB
The main objective of a photography club is to encourage its learners to take photos while developing a love for the craft. It is an ideal club for learners looking for a creative outlet.
HOUSE PLAYS
One of the biggest events every year at King’s is the Inter-House Play Competition. Every year in anticipation for the house plays the campus vibrates with competitive suspense as the learners stage four one-act plays as part of their portfolio tasks for the year.
PUBLIC SPEAKING & DEBATE
Public speaking and debate develop important communication skills that are needed every day whether at school, outside of the classroom or in the future workplace. Developing confidence in speaking enables learners to participate more actively in the classroom and increases their self-esteem.

The Music and Dance Academy focuses on individual and group lessons in various performing arts disciplines. It is open to anyone who has a passion for music and dance - children and adults included. Learn to play an instrument or improve your dancing skills.
